Day 1

As we pulled in to Vancouver I was amazed by the sight of the city at night. It was amazing, all the buildings were lit up and it looked great. It looked like a city that was going to be verrrry fun!!!! In the morning we saw a couple of signs about the Vancouver International Jazz Festival going on today(2)My family and i were going to the festival to listen to some Jazz music which i was not excited for at all. But I decided I would just go and deal with it. Overall it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. The music wasnt something i would ever listen to but it was intersting to listen to it for once. There were people all over the streets trying to get there music noticed by people and try to get records made for themselves. I think a couple people actually did. There was a great resteraunt kinda thing they had there. They had Jamacian Pattys, yumm. They were great. I actually wanted to stay there for the afternoon and listen to some more music. My sister did not like it at all, shes 10 and she was throwing temper tantrums. It was weird and also scary for a few minute. It looked like she was going to kill someone! A few years back this was the winner of the Jazz Festival, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKIsRJl25To. It is a great sample of the music. For dinner this day we went to Blue Water Cafe(3). As you already know I love seafood so this was like heavan for me. It was great food. For the rest of the night we walked around the city and looked at some of the beautiful sights!

Day 2

This day i was very excited for. Today we were going to Grouse mountain(4). There is a ski lift thing that brings you up to the top of the mountain. It is very very high off teh ground and i love heights so i was really excited. So as soon as we step foot in the box that brings us up to the top of the mountain my mom flips out. She gets so scared when she thinks of heights so they wouldnt wait for her so we had to go up without her. Jay wasnt very happy and eather was she becuase she couldnt get her money back. So us three Jay, Emily and I all went up for the half an hour ride up to the top of Grouse Mountain. It was long but very interesting at the same time. When we got to the top it was nothing special to be honest just a very nice view. We stayed up there for quite a while. The way back was even better because we went way faster and could have a better view. By the time we got down my mom was very inpacient and wanted to leave. So we went to the hotel packed up all our stuff and made the long journey back home to St. Catharines. On the way back we stopped and got burger king for dinner. Those whoppers are great!! Haha once we reached St. Cathairnes I was so happy to go back to our ordinary lives. It was a fun and interesting trip!!

Day 1

By the time we got to Edmonton I was really starting to miss St. Catharines. I tried to have as much fun as I could and make the best of it to. We started off by going to 105th Street cafe for a great buffet breakfast.(4) The breakfast had everything from cereal to waffels with whipcream. Then for the rest of the day we were going Gaxalyland which would be the second amusment park of the trip. However nobody minded because we all loved rollercoasters. This one was special because it was the biggest Indoor amusment park in Canada. It also has the biggest indoor rollercoaster called the Mindbender.(3) It was a great rollercoaster, we all had a great time there. The only bad thing was that it costed a certain amount of tickets per ride. Tickets were alot of money so we had to keep asking my parents for money and they did not like that. After 7 hours of riding rides we went to La Ronde Revolving Rooftop Resteraunt(5). It was by far the most fun I have ever had eating dinner. It was at the top floor of a huge building and all the windows were open. The whole resteraunt was rotating and you could see the whole city, it was amazing. After a while it makes you feel sick but it was all worth it! When we got back to the hotel we were exhausted from screaming so we all just passed out in our hotel room

Day 2

The second day in Edmonton I was really excited because i love bike riding so my family and I rented some bikes. In Edmonton there is over 225km of bike trails. Obviusly we would never be able to go on all of them. But we would ride all day and see as much things as we could. On this Saturday all the trails were totally full of people. However we found a nice trail that ran along a nice river that we stoped and could see load of fish swimming everywhere. It was a beautiful site. For lunch we saw a guy driving a fry truck so we got a extra large order of frys. They were veryyyyy good!!!! Then we basically rode until we couldnt ride anymore. Basically crawled back to the hotel layed in bed and fell asleep. That was one of the cheapest days of our trip and also one of the funnest. You can still have fun without spending loads of cash. Edmonton was my favourite city from then on, I had a great time. Now we were off to our last stop on the trip in Vancouver which I was the most excited for!

Day 1

Wow did Sudbury ever look boring as we saw the first sign. It look like a boring little city and that made me grumpy for the whole day and not wanting to do anything at all! My sister and my mom kept saying they wanted to go shopping sooo bad. So they went to the new Sudbury Centre.(5) Gave them $100 bucks and the whole day at the mall to keep them away from me and my dad. On the way in we passed alot of lakes, and we made a promise that one day we would spend the whole day fishing and not have to pay for any food for ourselfs. Obviusly my sister and mom wont do that but whatever we were going to. I was now pumped up to do some fishing. We went to a lake called Lake Ramsey.(6)The lake has many different species of fish including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, white sucker, pumpkinseed, and rock bass. My dad and I rented a small 9ft aluminum boat. We caught pike all day long and had the greatest lunch in dinner everrr. Overall it was a great day, my mom was so nice to buy my dad and I alot of clothes and food.Which we did not eat. For the night instead of staying in a fantsy hotel we rented a small trailer. It was in a trailer park called Linamac Trailer Park & Cabins. We just had a nice fire and had some smores and marshmellow wars. It was pretty fun, that is basically all we did the first day in Sudbury.

Day 2

On the second day in Sudbury we did absolutly nothing at all. I think that it was a total waste of a day and money. To pay to be staying there just to sit and the trailer and play cards and some soccer. We played cards all avernoon until I got to good for my sister and she flipped out and threw the cards everywhere. And wouldnt pick them up so we lost about half of the deck. After searching for cards for hours. I decided that i was sleeping for the rest of the day because i was so tired. I could never sleep on car rides and the whole night before we drove all through the night. So i was a night behind on my sleep. I also wanted to be charged up for our next city which was Edmonton and i heard that it was great so i did not want to be tired. That was all for Sudbury. Kinda of boring to be honest. Hopefully Edmonton will be way more fun!!!

Day 1

Finnaly after a long boring car ride we arrive in Montreal! When we first got in the city it was a little bit hard to find a hotel because it was 1am. Mostly everything was in french and my family is not good in french so we had to do alot of signals but everything worked out. The one thing I always wanted to do if I went to Montreal was to go to the La Ronde Amusement Park. This is a huge amusement park in Montreal. My family and I were going to it for the whole day I was so excited I was up at 8 in the morning wakeing everybody up to get ready. We got in the parking lot to the park at about 10am right when it was about to open. The tickets were suprisingly cheap at only $35 dollars to ride rides all day.(4) We rode alot of the little rides in the morning so my little sister didnt get bored. At about 1 my stomach really started to hurt, so my family and I all got supersized hotdogs. My sister only ate half so I thought, what a waste i will have it. However that was a very bad decision. Mintutes later me and my dad went on the biggest rollercoaster in the whole park. It had about 5 loops in it. As soon as we started going up the hill my stomach really hurt, i felt like a was going to puke. That was excactly what I did on the very first loop. As soon as we got upside down I couldnt hold it down anymore. I puked on everybody on the ride. They were all so pisssssed! After that we all went back to the hotel for the rest of the day. I felt so bad from being sick, and also from embarresment. I never wanted to go back there again. That was a bad day to start off in Montreal!

Day 2

On the second day in Montreal I really wanted to make it better than than the first day. The first day was very emmbaressing. On the second day my family and I went to the aqua dome.(5) The aqua dome is a huge indoor water park. Its one of the biggest in Canada. However once again my mom didnt want to go because she doesnt like to swim or have anything to do with water. It was very cheap to get in and the food was great. We got a huge pizza, fries and drink for $20 dollars. We basically stayed and played in the park until about 6pm. My skin was so wrinkled it was scary. I looked like a very old man, it was hilariuse. When we left the water park I lost the key to our locker so it took a while for us to get out of there. Once we did we went to a restraunt called Bar & Boeuf(6). It was a very special treat for us because it was very very exspensive. We all ordered steaks which were the best steaks I have ever had in my life. I would reccomend going there if you are in Montreal anytime. We went back to the hotel and watched Dumb and Dumber, funniest movie ever. That was pretty much it for Montreal, we were leaving bright and early in the morning. Over all Montreal was great, and hopefully Sudbury will be just as good!

This is the car that me and my family rented to go across the country. Its a little bit small but it has very good gas mileage.

Day 1: As soon as we arrived in Halfiax, the sight of the whole city was just amazing. We arrived in halifax at about 11am so we went to the best resteraunt in the whole city called Botanica Restaurant(2) . I had a shrimp wrap, it was one of the best foods I ever had. I would recommend trying it if you ever go to Halifax. Right after we ate lunch we were going to check in our hotel when i looked in the sky and saw about 20 skydivers opening there parrachutes(3). It looked intence so i convinced my mom to let me and my dad go. When we got to the place it costed us $600 to go skydiving. My mom did not like that at all. It took a good chunk of the day just to get trained, and i was getting very anxious. We finnaly got in the plane at 4:30, it was alot scaryier once you get in the plane. I thought that shrimp wrap was coming up. Then my instuctor pushed me out of the plane and the next thing i knew i was falling. It was the scaryiest thing of my life. After that we went back to the hotel and slept at 7pm. I was so exhausted from skydiving i just wanted to sleep.

Day 2: On day two it was my moms turn to do something that she wanted. The one thing she really wanted to do was visit Pier 21(1). Which was a Pier that alot of Immigranted that came to Canada landed on. Her mother(my Grandma), Peggy Purdy came to Canada from Finland in 1962. My mom wanted to see the Pier to see where her mother took her first step on Canadian soil. Also for all the history and different cultures that Pier 21 has. When we showed up there it just looked like a normal little pier. However when you read all the books in there on how the place was used years ago, it was actually very intersting. We stayed at Pier 21 for a few hours until about 1pm. Then everybody got hungry so on the way to the Hotel we stoped at Taj Mahal(2). It was a very good Restaurant, i had the curry chicken which was amazing. We finished around 3 and decided that we were leaving Halifax for our Trip. We wanted to get to our next city by the next day. We left Halifax very happy, and now off to Montreal!!
